Aamir Khan shared his feelings of stress before the release of his son Junaid Khan’s film Loveyapa, and he also reflected on its box office disappointment. Junaid recently made his theatrical debut alongside Khushi Kapoor in the romantic-comedy, which garnered a mixed-to-positive reception from viewers but ultimately struggled commercially.

Aamir Khan shares feelings on Junaid Khan-led Loveyapa failure

In an interview with ABP Live, Aamir Khan opened up about his son Junaid Khan’s film Loveyapa. He said, “Nahi chali woh film, unfortunately. Toh mujhe uska bhi bada dukh hai. Mujhe laga film acchi hai aur Junaid ne bhi accha kaam kiya hai lekin voh film nahi chali (That film did not work. So I’m very sad about it. I felt the film was good and even Junaid did good work but it didn’t work out).”

Aamir admitted that as a father, he felt ten times more anxious about Junaid’s project than he typically does for his films. He revealed that just two weeks before the release, he often found himself sitting by the window, contemplating the overwhelming anxiety, even though it wasn’t his film.

He said, “Mai dur dekh raha hun par mera dil zor se dhadak raha hai (I was far away, but my heart was pounding loudly). I thought it was the most important moment of my life. Baaki Junaid jo hai voh seekhega (But Junaid will learn). This a field where you have to face success and failure. Junaid is someone who is young and intelligent. He has got a lot of energy and positivity. He’ll find his way.”

Additionally, Aamir mentioned that he is producing a romantic film featuring Junaid, which also stars Sai Pallavi and is set to hit theatres by the end of this year.
